【热帖】一位ABS离职验船师写给大老板的邮件信

I take the liberty to write a letter to you.


My name is XX, once being a surveyor in ABS China.


After over 20 years service to ABS, I leave ABS last month.


I once worked hard with passion to a simple willing to make life good and make ABS better and stronger through our effort, always proud of being a ABS surveyor.


I witnessed ABS China become from very small to a giant through our effort, professional and good team of ABS once.


But unfortunately, great changes happened in the past decade of years.


A new management team replaced the old succeed team, The new management of Chinese in this team are low ability, selfish, and be good at combating dissident and cliques, some good surveyor and manager leave ABS, and some silence to protect themselves from avoiding been persecution.

The market share of ABS get lower and lower, ABS China once get market share of nearly 40%(total LR+DNV) before 2008.


Most of this share are commercial ship and seldom offshore projects were built in China at that time.


In my port, the marketing share was even high, ABS Nanjing office is the only office beside Shanghai at early, almost over 90% of the marketing share in Yangzhou area is ABS, and our old surveyor create a very good relationship with client.


Everything changed after 2008, after our marketing department create.


The leader and manager of this department didn’t concern ABS’s benefit, what they care about is their right, power and self benefit.


They make the business poorer and poorer gradually, and the crisis ought to broke out at about 2011~2012. Fortunately, the oil price rise over $100, many offshore projects built in China. and Offshore is ABS’s traditional advantage and it covered ABS China’s potential crisis.


Wall Street has a famous word: Only when the tide goes out, before we know who is swimming naked.

After oil price get down, ABS China’s crisis broke out, The Marketing department make market share fraud and brag in every occasion to cover the fact(I attach a E.Mail bellow which described the former Nanjing DM Mr. Z.Y Li. considered ABS NJ very success, accompany our market share get down to very low compared with once success before he come to be the DM & Marketing manager at Nanjing, and surveyor also get less and less in the past years).


I let LR China vice president  to provide me a China’s marketing share chart to me,  which is a third party’s statistics report and it is a paid report which containing every detail of new construction ship list in the report and he can not provide to me for the legal confidential reason. but he told me it is very accurate.


We can judge how poor ABS’s marketing at China is through the share chart! it is even including offshore projects but other class have seldom with it, but ABS market department made a self market share chart to advertise and brag that ABS is still No.1 in China’s marketing share shamelessly.

It is rather strange some guys who destroyed ABS China Market can promote constantly even to vice president in the past years.


Mr.Eric Kleess, Darren Leskoski are very gentleman, and I knowing them dug deeper and work hard, they take the effort to work for ABS China’s betterment, the problem is American’s custom is quite different from China’s, they may also be deceived by ABS’s China Market Department.


Although it is a tough result for me, but it is not the case this time. I am fortunately to leave a lost ship, get paid and starting new work and new life, I appreciate ABS. Although I leave, I still love and concern ABS which I have devoted my best lifetime, effort, sweat, memory with it. I hope ABS China will great again, ABS will never sink, every employee in ABS can work happy and have good life !

很冒昧的给您写这封信。


我的名字是wangjin000(由于作者不愿署名,只好这个冤由我来背吧),一位曾经在中国为ABS服务了20多年的验船师,就在上个月我离开ABS。


我曾经饱含着热情的工作,为的就是一个简单的愿意让自己的生活过得更好,并且能够通过我们的努力使ABS的未来更美好更强大,这也是我作为一名ABS验船师一直的骄傲。(不难看出,这个wangjin000是一个多么负责任,多么有担当的人,令人敬佩.风雨中,二十来年一眨眼,许多青春年华,却英雄迟暮,以然模糊了曾经幼稚的脸)


我亲眼目睹了通过我们ABS专业团队地努力,ABS在中国从很弱小逐渐走向了强大.但不幸的是,在近十几年来发生了很大的变化。(万恶的金融危机吗..不不不..是内部斗争)


一个新的管理团队取代了旧的成功的团队,在这个团队中新的管理能力低,自私,善于打击异己,拉帮结派,一些好的验船师和经理离开ABS,有的人只能用沉默来保护自己避免被迫害。


现在ABS的市场占有率越来越低,在中国2008年前,ABS就曾经获得近40%的市场份额,这大多数分布在商业船舶和海洋工程建造上。


在我的港口,市场份额更高,在上海早期ABS南京办事处是唯一的办公室,几乎在扬州地区的市场份额90%,ABS里我们的老师创造一个与客户良好关系。


然而,2008后一切都变啦,我们新创建市场营销部(看看吧..老板,你特么眼瞎了么)这个部门的领导者和管理者根本就不关心ABS的利益,他们所关心的是他们的权利,权力和利益。


大约危机产生在2011 ~ 2012,,他们做生意逐渐越做越差。幸运的是,石油价格上涨超过100美元,虽然海洋工程是ABS的传统优势,在中国也建立了许多海外项目。,但却一直存在着潜在危机。


华尔街有著名的一句话:只有当潮水退去的时候,才知道谁在裸泳。(当我听到这句话时,不知为什么,脑子里完全没有想到危机的画面,而是一些儿童不宜让人流口水的情景,,请原谅我的不正经…)


石油价格下来后,ABS在中国的危机的爆发,(其实不仅仅是ABS其它每个行业都危机爆发啦,目前本人已失业在家看着电脑好呆啦…)而这个市场部却正在进行市场份额的欺诈和吹牛B,企图掩盖事实的真相(我附上一封电子邮件描述前南京DM Z. Y Li先生。考虑ABS NJ很成功,随着我们的市场份额的下降,现在已到了非常低的程度,与前一次他来是DM营销经理在南京的成功相比,在过去的几年里人也越来越少了).(这特么怎么干的.天要下雨,娘要嫁人,,你还让我们怎么活..)。


我让LR中国副总裁给我提供一个中国的市场份额图,对我来说,这是一个第三方的统计报告,这是一个付费报告含有新施工船舶列表的每一个详细的报告,虽然,它不具备法律的真实性。但他告诉我这是非常准确的。


我们可以看到,在中国我们的份额真特么差.要知道ABS的营销是通过份额图展示的,它甚至包括海上项目,但其他类很少用它,但ABS市场部做了一个自我的市场份额图宣传和吹嘘,ABS仍是中国第一的市场份额,真是尼马太无耻。老子都看不下去了,简直是不能直视。


比较奇怪的是一些人不断地摧毁着ABS中国市场,却能在过去的几年中也不断得副总统推升。Eric Kleess先生,Darren Leskoski非常的绅士,我知道他们工作努力,饱含热情,他们一直努力地改善着中国ABS的工作,问题是美国的风土人情和文化与中国完全不同,他们也可以通过ABS的中国市场部进行欺骗。


(这个世界有一种动物叫虾,大鱼吃小鱼,小鱼能吃虾,小虾吃泥吧,所以wangjin000想说;老板.我是泥吧.你是虾呀...)


虽然这是一个糟糕的结果了,但不是这一次。


现在,我很幸运的是离开了这条要沉的老船(这话说的,如果这话是真话,那后面要说的可是假话喽,可能我翻译不误.哈哈.),也得到应有的补偿,同时也开始新的工作和新的生活,但是我还是得我感谢ABS。虽然我离开了,我仍然爱着并关心着ABS,因为在这里,我贡献我最好的一生,努力,汗水各美好的回忆。我希望ABS在中国再次的强大起来,我坚信ABS不会就这样一直消沉.同时也希望在ABS中每一个员工都能快乐工作、好的生活!
